Meet the Dark Knight. Refined by flame, this one of a kind kitchen island offers storage, extra prep space, and is a cool conversation piece. The technique used to achieve this color on this repurposed antique dresser is called Shou Sugi Ban, and has been practiced for over 1000 years for wood preservation by the Japanese. The reclaimed wood top is stained in neutral colors, arranged in a butcher block style, fastened with wooden dowels, and the edge wrapped in flat iron. Ornate, iron corbels and a towel holder add a bit of farmhouse to this industrial feel. A spacious cabinet was formed where 2 drawers once were, finished with stained, reclaimed wood & rabbit wire accent. Perfect for the tiny home movement or studio apartment or loft!
