The Beaches of Cheyenne, written by Bryan Kennedy, Dan Roberts and Garth Brooks is a story about someone dreaming of a new life. A new life is what inspired this table. A large, beautiful, but old Burr Oak tree was tagged to be removed and disposed of. Luckily our local sawmill snagged it up before the city crews shredded it and took it to the landfill. A new life it is for a tree that still had so much potential. Beginning with the milling process all the way through the final coat of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal I had a wonderful feeling of not only finding a new life for this tree but knowing in its final resting place it would be greatly appreciated.
The final finish for this table was three coats of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal wiped on with a soft cotton rag.
