This lovely piece was once a laminate top coffe table. Too short to be used as an actual coffee table, we added height by converting it to an ottoman. Plywood was cut to fit the top of the table.Corners were rounded to match the table base. 4 inch foam was cut to fit and glued to the plywood using spray adhesive creating a deep cushion for the new seat. Damask fabric (purchased from Joanns Fabric) was lined up just so (OCD helps) and stretched across the foam. Screws were used to drill holes through the foam and fabric and then button caps were used to "cap" the screw once fabric was attached to them. This created the tufting you see.
Base of new ottoman was painted in Rustoleum Linen White Chalk Paint and Dixie Belle Hurricaine Gray was drybrushed on for an accent color.
