This sideboard had a super glossy, highly polished finish before I got my brushes onto it. I lightly sanded it to scuff it up a bit and give it a key for my paint. I used Sarah Jayne Chalkpaint in Noir, added new wooden handles which I stained with GF Wood Stain and also used this on the trim and legs. Copper lines were added for a focal point and finally finished off with Polyvine Wax Finish Varnish in Dead Flat which gives it a wonderful smooth and matte finish.
