General Finishes

Today I bring you Shadow. He came to me as a true antique, with amazing bones, some sad scares and sad heart to look handsome again. We removed the veneer, sanded him smooth.  I pre conditioned his top twice for a smooth start. Then I created my own colors for the stain by mixing, and layering.  The rest got drenched in a lamp black wash, heavily distressed and sanded smooth.  The whole piece got cleared in a dead flat clear. We kept the two original metal knobs on the large drawer and refinished it in rubbed bronze and then replaced all other hardware with broken glass looking knobs and refinished the middle in rubbed bronze to match!! :).
