General Finishes

This floral lady's beautiful details were almost lost to time due to peeling veneer issues the owner didn't think could be salvaged. By blending original wood surfaces with decoupage & custom paint colors, the stately character of this antique piece finally took center-stage again. The top surface was sanded down and refinished with General Finishes Antique Walnut Gel Stain to match the original mirror. The front drawers were accented with a hand-carved frame to set off the antique-inspired floral wallpaper and custom-mixed paint colors. The sides of the dresser were also decoupaged to delight from every angle. The final steps included sealing all surfaces with High Performance Satin Top Coat to keep her looking her best and Howards Dark Oak Wax to add age and accent her curves.
