This table is a stylized reproduction of the Greene & Greene dining table designed for the Thorsen house. Made from solid quarter sawn sapele and pommelle sapele veneer, it has almost 200 ebony plugs and splines. The border pieces around the elliptical top are made from a single piece of sapele to maintain grain continuity. The double pedestal design alllows for the addition of four 15 inch leaves, providing seating for twelve guests.
This table is finished with water borne satin lacquer over General Finishes water based dye stain- a custom blend of medium brown and orange.
