This French Provincial Dresser made by American Of Martinsville needed a new life. When we found it, the mirror, the matching nightstands, and the headboard they were a yellow color and someone had painted them with something that felt like orange peel. We completly stripped and cleaned them to remove any of the old finish. The top was painted in General Finishes Dark Chocolate Milk Paint and sealed with General Finishes High Performance Satin Clear Coat. The body was painted in General Finishes Antique White Milk Paint and all of the details were highlighted with Fusion Mineral Antiqueing Wax. Hardware refinished in Rustoleum Matte Black.
The real showstopper here is the old world french script stenciled on the drawer sides and on the fronts of the middle drawers in GF Dark Chocolate. They really add to the wow factor and makes this piece stand out from the rest.
This was a fun project for me and I hope to be able to stencil more drawers in the future.
