This piece was literally coming apart, but I knew it could be salvaged. It had a "chippy" look to it which I loved, but by the time we finished rebuilding and stabilizing, most of that wonderful finish was gone. I wanted to recreate that look so this is how I did it: I painted the table Brick Red, yes, I said red, and then I applied a mixture of Sea Spray in Linen to give it that rugged, worn, aged look. Then I painted the whole thing Antique White and once dry, started sanding to my hearts desire. I wanted to bring out all of the different colors so this piece would show its original age and beauty. Of course I topped it off with a few coats of Satin Top Coat. I just love how it turned out. Don't you?
