I have a soft spot for storage coffee tables so when I found this one I had to buy it. I think black paint with stained tops are so classic so that is what I decided to do with this piece. I painted the base with Lamp Black Milk Paint and lightly distressed around the edges for some added texture. The top had such a gorgeous grain once I sanded the previous finish off so I wanted to make sure the grain would still be visable. I used Java Gel Stain on the top; brushing on with a foam brush and wiping off the excess. One coat is all I needed for a nice dark finish. I switched out the knobs with some fun ceramic ones and gave the drawer pulls a coat of paint. Fabric drawer liners completed the transformation.
