I love all things white washed & weathered. I took an old table & chairs from two different sets to create a cohesive, elegant dining set.
I first wiped the table and chairs down with Crown Liquid Deglosser. This is my go-to in lieu of sanding when my furniture already has a smooth finish to start with. I then dry brushed the table with SW Snow White and wiped with off my strokes with a clean rag. I used several coats of GF gray gel stain on the table top. When that was cured, I dry brushed the sides with the white. The top is lightly dry brushed to not over power the gray finish. Finally, I sealed the table top with three coats of Minwax polycrylic to prevent any water damage.
I repeated the same steps on the chairs except I chose to seal them with 2 coats of Minwax furniture paste wax. The cushions are recovered in a neural gray fabric to accent the gray on the table top.
