This table was crafted from purple heart and maple woods. There is a clear inlay of epoxy with lapis stone for the curved stripes on top, giving an interesting blue tone to contrast with the purple. The lit circles in the center are a surprise, since they are invisible until the table is lit!
I really wanted to show off the true color of the purple heart wood and the lapis stone, and also prolong the natural colors over time. To do this, I finished it with several coats of Satin General Finishes High Performance Water Based Top Coat. The wood will stay this beautiful purple for years to come!
