This Dining table came to me in a reasonable condition. solid wood legs and feet. Veneer on the top.
I wanted to test the Java gel stain. The only good thing about this veneer top is it had a nice grain to it.
The result after Appling a thin coat of Java gel stain was stunning. The grain from the veneer shone through,
The top was finished off with the general finishes high performance top coat in satin. I used 4 coats.
The bottom of this table has been done in Basil milk paint. completely compliments the java.
I put this table into a competition, so many people wanted it and loved the colours. It was won by a young couple who has just bought their first home.
I was delighted with the finished result.
