This vintage extension table with two leaves had beautiful lines and was wonderfully made, but the finish had seen better days.  The chairs had exquisite carved detailing, but alas, they were all lost in the original brown finish.  To begin the tranformation, the top of the table was removed from the base. After sanding the top down, two coats of Java Gel Stain was applied. The seat bottoms of the chairs were refreshed in Java Gel Stain, as well.  The base of the table and the chairs were painted in General Finishes Milk Paint in Lamp Black.  Hand distressing was applied to bring out the carved detailing.   General FInishes HIgh Performance Top Coat was applied to protect the finish.  This stately dining set has been updated and restored beyond its original beauty reintroducing it to a new era.
