Waterfall Desk Gel Revival

On my home from work I see a woman and her elderly mother had put some dilapidating antique furniture on curb in desperate need of some TLC. Compelled to stop they tell me it is their late grandmother's furniture that has sat in their shed for years. The base was cracked,  missing some laminate and the top was deeply scratched.

The base was repaired using the Kreg pocket hole jig. Entire surface was cleaned with denatured alcohol & water mixture; laminate was glued back and then was sanded to a 150 grit. Three layers of General Finishes Candlelite Gel Stain was applied and cure; burnished with a brown paper bag; then finished with two layers of the General Finishes High Performance Satin Top Coat.
