I envisioned this was how I wanted to paint this piece as soon as I saw it. I used the vaseline method to distress this whole chest. I did two coats of GF Antique White and then used the vibrant GF Holiday Red in the detail. I spent a lot of time hand sanding this piece with 400 grit sandpaper to create a layered look. I finished the whole piece with GF Van Dyke Brown Glaze. I love how chippy this piece turned out and I can see it in a little boy's cowboy themed room.
