Steampunk Mason Jars

By Dana W - New Normal Supply Co., Designer at New Normal Supply Company

Painted mason jars seem to be flying off the shelves around my town to be used as everything from bathroom vanity sets to patio lanterns, so I'm always trying to think of unique treatments for them.  So these Ball jars got steampunked, which to the uninitiated is a look that combines industrial age and rustic materials with Victorian visions of the future. I wanted these plain glass Ball jars to look like iron, and where I'd typically put a cute little ribbon or piece of jute twine embellished with a button or charm, I wrapped copper wire into a bow, tied thru a clockwork cog.
