This desk came from Habitat for Humanities, it was coming apart on the surface where the seams of the wood planks met and was entirely mahogany brown. It was by all definition a very masculine looking piece.
I puttied the top, sanded down to its natural wood grain color, painted it Antique White with GF Milk Paint, and used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Coco for the legs. I did a stencil border in Antique White as well for added detail to the surface top. and a lot of detail stencil in gold inside the desk drawer and golden stripes along side the desk drawer simply so it can look pretty from the side when the drawer is pulled open.
