General Finishes

Transforming this family heirloom has been a labor of love.  This gorgeous player piano came into our family over 35 years ago.  My grandmother learned to play on this piano and when the opportunity arose for her to acquire it she did.  When she passed she left the piano to my daughter in her will and it’s made countless moves the last 20 years.  The piano had been painted an awful brown before it came into the family, and although my grandmother had wanted to have it refinished, she was never able to undertake the project.  Never mind that it wasn't beautiful on the outside it played beautiful music and deserved to be a statement piece in my daughter’s home.  The piano is over 500 lbs and the project had to be completed where it stands using a layering technique with General Finishes Patina Green and Coastal Blue Milk Paint,  then wet sanded and dry brushed with a combination of General  Finishes Patina Green and Coastal Blue Milk Paint.  General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Semi Gloss to finish.
