Plain Pine Plywood Transformation

The laundry room was dark and had very little working space. The cabinets were painted with 2 coats of GF snow white milk paint and top coated with 3 coats of GF High Performance Top Coat. I added a pine plywood top with poplar trim top over the washer and dryer for much needed additional counter space. Everyone says that poplar is paint grade only, but this is not true. One coat of pre-stain conditioner followed with one coat of amber dye stain gives both pine and poplar the foundation for a beautiful end product. Adding layers of Medium and Dark Brown dye stain this plain piece of plywood becomes a beautiful furniture like counter top. Finished this off with three coats of Arm-R-Seal to protect the final produt.
