This roadside find was in the worst condition of any piece I have ever restored. But the lines! If you like mid century modern - don't you think this is such a beautiful design? The low profile frame is my favorite!
A custom blend of General Finishes "Java" and "Antique Walnut" gel stains were used on the drawer fronts and the front/back of cabinet doors. The stained surface was sealed with several coats of satin polyurethane for a silky, low-lustre sheen - a nice contrast against the ultra high gloss enamel I used for the frame.
