This LA Period Furniture Co is made of solid hard mountain ash and came to us in beautiful condition, but the yellow-ish original finish was screaming "two-tone me!" We knew at first sight that those center drawers needed to be sanded down to bare wood so that you could see the beautiful grain. We then stained it with Java Gel Stain (amazing!) and opted to paint the body and remaining drawers in Snow White Milk Paint. We almost stained the legs...but decided that we really liked the dramatic vertical pop of those center contrasing drawers. We're so pleased with how it turned out.
