After I Gel Stained my own kitchen, a friend of mine messaged me on Facebook asking me if I would take a look at her kitchen and maybe paint hers too. Since Gel Stain was not an option for her, I suggested using GF Milk Paint although I had never painted with it. I love the Gel Stains so I knew the Milk Paint had to have the same product quality. She decided on GF Linen Milk Paint and now she couldn't be happier with her decision. First, I cleaned the cabinets with 50/50 Denatured Alcohol and water and then lightly sanded with a high grit sandpaper. I then foam brushed 3 coats of GF Linen Milk Paint followed by 3 coats of GF High Performance Satin Topcoat. I lightly sanded between all coats with 400 grit sandpaper which gave me a smooth as glass finish. I am now hooked on GF Milk Paint as much as I am on GF Gel Stains. Her sisters loved it too because I am now in the process of painting their kitchens in of course...GF Milk Paint.
