General Finishes

When we first saw this half moon table it was looking a little neglected and in need of some TLC. After cleaning,repairing and sanding the entire piece we knew we wanted a warm vibrant colour to reinvent it. We decided on a custom mix of General Finishes Evening Plum and Lamp Black milk paints and we added mouldings to the front of the table to add interest. Then using a dry brushing technique we enhanced these mouldings and other areas of the table with an antique gold colour. To protect the table we used General Finishes High Performance Topcoat in satin. Although we were happy with the end result we felt it needed something else to compliment it so we decided a mirror would be the perfect accompaniment. We got a plain mirror, added ornate corner mouldings and the custom mix paint and the antique gold were applied. When placed with the table we knew we had created something unique and wonderful.
