Farmhouse Shabby Chic Curio

We wanted something with a Shabby Chic personality. We could have just replaced the missing glass but what fun would that have been. We were walking around Lowes one day trying to get some inspiration and out popped the chicken wire and a light bulb went off in my head. We could use this instead of glass and it would give the Shabby Chic Farmhouse vibe we were going for.

We rounded up all of our supplies. Cleaned and sanded her down. Purchased some Antique White, and Lamp Black Milk Paint by General Finishes. We first painted on a layer of black milk paint and then came back with 2 layers of Antique white over the top of that because we knew we wanted the dimension of the black in the background and not the raw wood look when we distressed it. I found this cute knob at Hobby Lobby and knew it would be perfect.

Voila our very own version of Farmhouse Shabby Chic Curio Cabinet.
