Dainty Pink French Inspired Dresser

By Debbie

I friend said to me, hey you want to try to work your magic on this ugly hutch?  So I said why not!  I ditched the top part and just concentrated on the bottom dresser part.

I used ButterCream Paint from Joann's, it was on sale and I figured what the heck.  For a paint that is ready available it was pretty awesome.  I wanted to try decoupage and picked up the poster at Hobby Lobby.  I figured what is the worst that can happen with my first attempt?  I'd have to sand it all off and start over?  I measured and cut and then used Mod Podge and did a little bit at a time.  What do you know?  It worked!

I then covered it with too many coats of General Finishes HP Top Coat, I didn't want that paper to rip (I totally forgot to poke the knob holes out of the drawers..oops!). I ran to Home Depot and picked up some pink clear knobs and fought with the GF HP TC to get them thru the holes, that stuff is like cement when dried!

I think it turned out pretty good.
