This cedar lane chest was in overall great shape, just a few touch ups I needed to fix with a little bit of wood putty. I wanted to give this piece a different look, something a little different using two different colors. I went with Chapin Gray first, decided it was a little too plain so I added antique white with a dry brushing teqnique which really made this piece come alive. I laso wanted to add glaze to accentuate the details of the design around the middle of the chest and the legs and boy did those details come out! I blended the 3 colors around the corners of the chest to give it some depth as well as some shadowing affect and I am in love with this techniqe.
