I first painted the entire bed in a thick coat of Antique White Milk Paint, using "criss cross" patterns with the brush in order to create texture. I then mixed a touch of Antique White into Persian Blue and painted the bed in that. Lastly, I painted parts of the bed in "full strength" Persian Blue for a slightly darker contrast, and used silver leaf on the details. Once dry, I rubbed soft liming wax in grey all over the bed to rub off some of the blue and reveal some of the white, and lightly mute the silver leaf. I love it!
