When I picked up this desk it was sitting in a barn with goats. The goats obviously used & it wasn't in a good way. Another person had looked at the desk prior to me & turned it down. LOL It was in bad shape, but I saw the beauty! I had to remove the top from the legs & totallly reglue all the joints. I had missing trim from the back so I removed the rest & replaced it with some rope trim. Sanded & stained the top in Java gel stain. Body was painted in Antique White & Chapin Gray. To achieve this chippy goodness I used a heat gun. Let it bubble just slightly & cool off. Then came back to it with a sanding block. I hit some of the details on the desk & chair with Snow White for even more subtle contrast. I sealed the entire piece with Flat out Flat.
From the barn to the office!
