This stunning solid mahogany chest of drawers from the mid- to late 1800s is to die for! This piece is nothing short of the pure craftsmanship from the late 19th century, including handmade double dovetail construction of the drawers with evidence of scribe marks. The chest of drawers features three (3) drawers with decorative molding on the drawer faces, as well as very ornately detailed carved floral drawer pulls. The drawers also feature the original lock sets and carved wood escutcheons. This beautiful piece was completely restored to its former glory featuring a beautiful and rich Antique Walnut gel stain by General Finishes. It was then sealed by General Finishes satin wipe on polyurethane for an antiqued hand-rubbed finish.
