Twilight Porcelain

By Karie Bogart, Flipping Fabulous Salina, Co-Owner at Flipping Fabulous Salina in Salina, KS.

This beautiful Morganton Furniture Collection Mahogany Buffet is painted in the darkest gray, a 50/50 mix of GF Lamp Black & Queenstown Gray. She is distressed in all the right places, giving her an elegant, worn look. The top is stained with GF Antique Walnut water based stain, sealed with Fusion's SFO in Natural. The body was sealed with Fusion's Beeswax, a mix of Hemp Oil and 100% natural beeswax. The hardware got one spray of copper, and an additional spray of antique gold, giving them just the right shade for this darkest gray.

I love using dramatic art to enhance my own work. The headlined iCanvas is by artist Guilio Rossi, and is titled Porcelain. The horizontal iCanvas is by my favorite, Scott Rohlf's, who's art is full of sass & drama - perfect for a classic piece to give it a modern edge, attracting a younger audience to appreciate fine, well built antiques.
