General Finishes

This laundry room was given a rustic look with a blend of old and new wood.  The shelves were built with a combination of old pallet wood and new pine.  To achieve the look on the pine a wire brush attached to a cordless drill was run back and forth over the new wood.  This gave the wood some texture and the appearance of being rough sawn. The pallet wood and the pine received three coats of penetrating stain in a dark walnut color.  The blue 'hutch' was a clearance item found at an vendor mall.
