Rivers of Recovery Donation Distressed Cream Ornate Frame

By Lou Glaub, Owner at Dreamin' Big Designs in Cordova, TN.

This frame was transformed for an auction benefitting our country's heroes held by Rivers of Recovery Arkansas and was pleasantly surprised at the money it brought in.

Once scrubbed clean using a soft toothbrush in the detailing and lightly sanded, it was given a couple of coats of Wise Owl Creme. Once dried, it was lightly distressed by using a fine grit sandpaper and sealed using Tree House Acrylic Matte Spray. The glaze mixture of 3 parts GF Van Dyke Brown and 1 part Wise Owl Black Walnut was then heavily applied over the whole frame concentrating it in all the cracks and cranies and wiped back with a baby wipe. Once dried again, another 2 coats of the spray acrylic was applied.
