Petite Oak Buffet

By Amy Lenhardt, Revitalized, Northern Virginia at Revitalized in Burke, VA.

Look at those legs!

This buffet came from a family who was getting rid of Grandpas stuff. The parents had saved it for their kids, but they said it wasn’t their style. Four SUV trips later, Grandpa’s oak furniture was on its way to a new life! It came with another large buffet, a pedestal table, and four chairs.

Gorgeous, slim curved legs and amazing natural wood grain make this a show stopping piece. The rich wood grain has been lovingly layered with General Finishes Java Gel and High Performance Top Coat. The antique white body creates frames around each door and drawer, making their beauty stand out even more. The clawed feet are embellished with a gold wash and gold leaf for an unexpected pop of whimsy. The top drawer is lined in bright red, soft flocking. The bottom drawer is lined with rich colorful fabric. The finishing touch is the gleaming brass hardware, including exposed hinges.
