Fit for a mermaid princess, this headboard was given a royal coastal look.
After cleaning, sanding and repairing the top edge, this headboard was painted all over with Dixie Belle Dropcloth, then only on the top edge with Wise Owl Joyful. A thin coat of Dropcloth was painted over that and immediately wiped back revealing the bright turquoise underneath. Light distressing was achieved along the edge with a fine sandpaper and then time to seal it all up using GF HPTC Flat. Once it was all dry. Rub 'n Buff in Grecian Gold was applied with my finger to the adornment at the top and randomly on the edge but the main body was kept clean.She looks like a beautiful mermaid with her crown.
