This alreaady stunning dresser was picked from our inventory by clients remodeling a master bathroom. We had to remove the top, remove the drawers and create a solid cabinet enclosure, and turn the drawer facings into a function hinged door. It was a much bigger project than anticipated, just on the carpentry side.
For finishing, the clients brought in a sample of their accent stones for a color match for the vanity. My instructions were to "do a layered finish like my typical pieces. B;ue, but not really blue. Gray but not really gray." Confused as ever, I set off to create the perfect look for this bathroom.
Fully cleaned and sanded, primed with BIN. Base color is PPG Nautical Star. Wet brushed with GF Snow White, Fusion Soapstone, and glzed with GF Van Dyke Brown. Layers were alternated and retouched until the color was right.
