F-16 Challenge Coin Display

By Dormier in Choctaw, OK.

This is a F-16 sillohuette Challenge Coin Display made from Brazilian Cherry and White Oak. The slots are cut at a 10 degree angle and the entire plane is tilted at 10 degrees so that the different Squadron or Group coins stand vertical. The finish applied was simply two coats of Danish Oil hand rubbed into the wood and allowed to dry for 15 minutes prior to buffing. It darkens the wood, highlights the grain and gives it just a bit of shine.
