Escritoire, functional and decorative piece of furniture
Escritoire, a small piece of furniture for small apartments. The furniture function has been changed. Escritoire has become a functional and decorative centerpiece of the house. The secretaire was cleaned of old paint and degreased coatings. I used the template for the designs. The 3D effect was created by applying a plaster to the template. I mixed a wood glue with plaster at one to one. Then I used acrylic paints for painting. Outside, the color of Sapphire mat, inside the cabinet, I mixed 3 colors; sapphire, carmen and gray. I used General Finishes Burnished Pearl for finishing and enhancing the pattern. The whole was stained with General Finishes Van Dake brown stain.
