Driftwood Piano

By Chelsea Evans, Furniture Artist at Apple Blossom Way in Salem, UT.

My whole life I wanted my own piano. After we purchased our home I searched until I found the perfect one. I picked it up, sanded it down and started pouring myself into it.

The raw wood areas are stain in weather wood stains reclaimation stain, then dry brushed in Annie sloan pure white. The body painted in pure white and lightly distressed.

I distressed the piano logo just enough to allow it to come through the paint.

The bench base is painted in Sweet pickins zinc and dark waxed. The top washed in zinc and pure white.

The entire piece is sealed in Annie sloan clear wax for a soft, matte finish.

This is hands down, one of my very favorite pieces I’ve done.
