This beautiful vintage Drexel Heritage credenza has been transformed from a bulky and awkward piece to feminine elegance. Painted with fusion raw silk, fusion heirloom, fusion pale gold, fusion soapstone, dixie belle vintage duck egg, dixie belle drop cloth, gold rub n buff, renaissance chalk paint in Aegean coral and rustoleum glossy ultracover white paint and primer on the cast iron legs. Sealed with varathane polyurethane. I used a layering technique with round sponges on the body. A floral decoupage is in the insets. Each had to be individually fitted as all the insets are slightly different in shape. A french patisserie stencil was applied to the sides to add more charm. Cast iron legs were added to make it into a coffee table turned credenza. Four hidden pullout doors reveal ample storage within. The stone inlay on the top was kept original and complimented with a pair of stenciled embellishments.
