Darling Antique Nesting Tables

By Vanessa, Owner at Vintage Soul in Ridgefield, WA.

I picked up these nesting tables at a very cut throat estate sale. Pretty much if you saw it, you had to claim it before inspecting it. Once I got them home I saw they needed some help. I had to take apart, move, and piece together some of the corner detail pieces, which was a pain, but so worth it for the end result. The tops were so gorgeous and I like to try to retain some history and character whenever possible. I painted the legs in Annie Sloan Pure White, distressed them to highlight the intricate details, and waxed them with Annie Sloan Clear Wax. For the tops I used Old English Dark Wood Polish, which acts like a stain to fill in scratches and small flaws and works to rehydrated the wood, reinvigorating its original color. I love the striking contrast.
