Curved Glass China Cabinet

By Kimberly at Red Tulip Designs in El Reno, OK.

I found this beauty in the corner of a garage sale covered in dust and begging to be taken home. My 1st thought was it needs some updating and shiplap because at that moment it was rather plain.

I found 3 beautiful Appliques at Hobby Lobby that I glued to the top of the cabinet. I primed with Kilz primer and them painted the body in Sherwin Williams Interesting Aqua and the back in Sherwin Williams Aesthetic White. I then used Valspar Antique Glaze to create a faux shiplap on the back and to highlight the body. Finally I mixed some of the Aesthetic White with Behr clear glaze to go over the blue and antique glaze to add highlights.

I almost kept this piece it turned out so beautiful. It really got me back into painting and helped me start down the path of refinishing furniture.
