Coca Cola Cabinet

By Louise in Jackson, MO.

About 16 years ago I purchased a china cabinet for $100 from a friend. It was very dated, but sturdy and would hold my CocaCola Collection very well.   It was my intention to give it a makeover.  Fast forward to present day and it has received its makeover and is beautiful.   I chose Holiday Red because it was the closest to the red used by Coke. The piece was too big and awkward to remove from the room so papers were placed on the floor and walls because I am an amateur.  The first task was removing all the cherished collectibles from inside.  The doors and glass panels were removed. The Holiday Red was applied and the cabinet was beautiful.  The Pitch Black added such character to the cabinet with more applied to the contours and crevices to add that pop effect.   Purchased some vinyl wainscotting to apply to the back of the cabinet and to the panels in front that had some bamboo/ caning on them.  Applied the top coat, glued on some coke caps to existing knobs and put in some battery operated puck lights.   The results are amazing.  The cabinet is so beautiful and I am looking for my next project
