General Finishes

Shoes can make or break an outfit, and that’s exactly what happened to this armoire. I found this piece on the curb left for takers. I had to convince my husband that this solid piece of wood still had some life left in it.  Once home we added a new base since it was rotted and removed the top and bottom trim.  Then I added a new pair of shoes (or  feet)!  A custom blend of chalk paint made with Sherwin Williams Tempe Star,a mocha glaze, a couple of coats of dark wax, and modern European hardware updated this from hated and dated to timeless piece  that will contain all of our office needs.
