Our client found this piano in the basement of the home she had recently purchased. She plays piano and sings, and wanted to not only add the piano to her home’s decor, but use it. Her favorite band is the Avett Brothers, and their stage piano for concerts is a battered white upright. This was the concept for turning this forgotten, dull pecan-colored spinet into a focal point of our client’s living space.
All surfaces were deglossed and sanded, then painted with General Finishes Driftwood Gray Milk Paint, then Snow White Milk Paint. Driftwood Gray accents and light distressing to show the gray beneath the white made this project a showstopper.
