Apple Blossom Authentic

By Chelsea Evans, Furniture Artist at Apple Blossom Way in Salem, UT.

Layered stencils & rust give this dresser depth and dimension. We started by sanding the top to bare wood and washing it with Annie sloan pure white. Then adding Graphite pin stripes by taping off the area.

The body was brushed in AS graphite around the edges and corners. To add dimension we used AS pure white in the center parts. We added modern masters metal primer to corners of the piece, and bottom legs. Then applied MM in Iron overtop and sprayed it with Modern Masters rust activator allowing it to drip down the sides.

Floral Stencils from Waverly were applied at different times throughout the piece to give depth. Some were lightly painted over, some right on the surface. All numbers and letters were applied last, then distressed.

Fine sanded the entire piece and then glazed with Valspar oil gel glaze tinted in Van Dyke Brown.

sealed with minwax polycrilic for lasting durability & shine.
