Farmhouse Darling Dresser

This tattered dresser was a $15 garage sale find and the very first piece for me to ever distress.  I sanded it all down and used a lot of putty fixing missing parts, chunks and dents.  I primed with a ZInsser BIN primer to prevent any bleed through of old stains, cover water damage, etc.  Next came 2 coats of General Finishes  Queenstown Milk Paint and 1 coat of General finishes High Performance in flat.  Five coats of General finishes Antique White Milk Paint were up next to get the gray completely covered. I sanded with flexible sandpaper and then I finished up with two more coats of General Finishes High Performance in flat for protection.( ELEVEN coats on this baby and now I know why I never distress!!! )Their is more paint on this than at the hardware store.  The drawers are painted in  5 coats of Nautica Sunset Horizon sample pots  from our local Menard's. The drawer hardware is also from Menard's.  This little darling went to live on a cattle ranch farmhouse in rural ND. My son's girlfriend surprised her momma with it after I finished it. I miss it already!
