After being passed down to the third generation, we were asked to give this mix matched mid-century pair a cool matching look for a little boys bedroom. We came up with an original design with a classic navy base with white and yellow racing stripes and geo patterns on the drawer fronts.
After sketching out the design, we prepped our cleaned and prep sanded our surface for paint. We primed them first in General Finishes Stain Blocker and then applied Snow White Milk Paint to the interior cubbies, drawer fronts, and where the white stripe would be. After painting the white, we taped off where we wanted the stripes and shapes and began painting Sunglow - a bright and bold yellow. Once the yellow was complete we taped off all of the stripes and cubbies and gave the rest of the body several coats of Coastal Blue Milk Paint. We sealed the entire project in High Performance Semi-Gloss.
