When I found this beauty, I kept telling myself not to buy it. I just could not get over the height of the piece if someone were to actually sit at it & try to sit comfortably. I kept telling the seller no, I don't want it. After a long time & the seller reducing the price over & over, I had to buy it. Wasn't sure what I was going to do with it though. Also the top had to be completely glued back on all around every edge. The veneer was so thick that it did not pay to rip the top surfaces off, so I got my hands full of wood glue & went to work!! I decided to go with a color scheme that's neutral so that it would fit into as many interior design schemes as possible. Had to go with GF Halcyon Blue Milk Paint, GF Snow White Milk Paint & GF Van Dyke Brown Glaze Effects. Love how the glaze effects gave it the perfect aged look that it needed. Sealed the whole piece with GF Satin topcoat for a nice sheen. Finally, the drawers got new glass knobs & they were also lined a cute paper. Everyone in my family loves how the piece came out. Looking back, if I ever come across one of these gems again, I'm snatching it up.
