From Tired to Refreshed Kitchen Revamp

By Kathleen Freitas

I became interested in painting my cabinets when I saw all the pinterest images of chalk painted cabinets. I was not excited about the distressed look or the thought of waxing. I started to research and came across GF milk paint & HPTC. I'm in love!  I ordered a few colors because I wasn't sure what I really wanted. I loved the paint but the colors weren't right for the room and in what I was trying to achieve, so I started mixing colors (writing down exactly how much of each I used) and wala!

GF milk paint in what I call warm grey or greige = 2 parts seagull grey, 2 parts millstone & 1 part driftwood. I topped it off with 2 coats of High Performance top coat in flat. The process was so easy. I have done my entire house and it is wearing amazingly!

I loved it so much we kept going and revamped the whole kitchen finishing with a solid walnut slab countertop!
